Borda Technology partnered with TURBOARD to bring value-added operational awareness and data-driven insights to hospitals and healthcare providers.
For over 15 years, Borda has been providing IoT products like asset management, asset utilization, patient throughput management, infant safety, location-aware work demand management, and more using Real-Time Locating System (RTLS) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies to improve patient service quality and increase operational efficiency.
The number of Borda’s clients are continuously rising. Operating in more than 15 countries with offices in Turkey, America, and Sweden, Borda currently shows presence in the 5 million square meters of hospital space, and manages more than 1 million hospital assets.
With the growing amount and complexity of the data gathered via Borda’s products, and the need to present the data in a more dynamic and flexible way to generate real-time insights, Borda started seeking a business intelligence tool to embed within their application.
Borda chose TURBOARD as their strategic BI partner trusting TURBOARD’s vast experience in healthcare domain and seamless embedding capabilities.
Borda and TURBOARD worked together to tailor dashboards and visualizations that best utilizes the data collected via RTLS and RFID locators, patient wristbands, asset tags, and handheld readers, in order to bring to the users data-driven insights for better, faster and more dynamic tracking and decision-making processes.
TURBOARD’s reports and analysis embedded in Borda’s products provide indicators, show anomalies, detect bottlenecks and weaknesses across the hospital’s operations. They are used by the hospitals’ administrative personnel, operating managers, business unit managers, and quality departments.
Additionally, Borda’s team are utilizing TURBOARD’s analytical reports to gain operational awareness of their products and customer satisfaction insights, ultimately ensuring that customers get the maximum benefit from the products.
Since 2020, which marked the start of this partnership, Borda has been constantly receiving positive feedback from its clients on the benefits and advantages of the BI platform they are using.
We received thanks from the Chief Physician at Bursa City hospital. The hospital intended to buy an expensive medical device for their emergency room, but thanks to Borda’s BI reports, they found that the device allocated to the 3rd floor was not being used much there. They relocated it to the emergency room and thus avoided unnecessary costly purchases.

With the help of asset inventory check and safety reports provided by Borda product, we checked the status of the devices which were missing in the last 3 stocktakings and out-of-hospital for 100 days. As a result of this control, we were able to easily locate our working and non-working devices that were moved to the warehouse months ago. While we put the working devices into service, we identified and allocated the non-working ones to asset scrapping and retirement immediately. Thanks to Borda’s IoT data and BI reports which enable us to make accurate and fast decisions.
